Dubai packs more photogenic variety into one city than almost anywhere else:
world-famous towers, golden dunes, open beaches and colour-drenched gardens, all
within a short drive. Here are the nine locations we shoot most, and when each one
looks its best.

## City & landmarks

- **Burj Khalifa** — the definitive Dubai
skyline shot. Best just after sunrise, when the streets are quiet and the light
is soft.
- **Palm Jumeirah** — waterfront and island
views with the skyline across the water. Bright, open and glamorous.
- **Creek Harbour** — a modern promenade
with clean lines and space to move; an uncrowded alternative to Downtown.
- **Wings of Mexico** — the winged
sculpture makes an instantly recognisable frame. Go early; it is popular.

## Desert

The **Dubai desert** is our most dramatic
setting, and transport is included. The open dunes give the assistant room to
throw the dress high for its biggest, most cinematic flight. Shoot at sunrise or
late afternoon.

## Beach & gardens

- **Dubai beach** — soft sand, open horizon
and a sea breeze that keeps the dress moving. Barefoot and relaxed.
- **Miracle Garden** — millions of blooms
for playful, colourful portraits, open in the cooler months only.

## Best time of year

Dubai's outdoor season runs roughly **October to April**, when the weather is cool
enough for comfortable daytime shoots. In summer we shoot early morning or move to
